We are looking for a senior level candidate for a long term contract opportunity. This is a full time, two year contract opportunity that offers PTO and benefits on day one. This project is an ongoing effort to provide the development, maintenance, and support activities on the New York State’s Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System. Duties include Participation in requirement and gathering design sessions for development of SACWIS compliant functionality/ Modeling and documenting solutions for changes and enhancements/ Assist the Application Development team in preparing technical designs and perform construction activities/ participate in the integration of new components and linking them into existing .NET platform to ensure functionality is correctly developed/ Support the application through the testing, pilot, and implementation phases, including product test, stress/load test etc./ Developing appropriate system documentation/ Facilitate the knowledge transfer between the Technical IT staff and the Program staff responsible for testing, training, and implementation/ Performing reviews of other developers’ checked-in WCF, WPF, and .NET code ensuring CONNECTIONS coding standards and practices are observed. Required Skills:
• 5-7 years experience in analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team
• 5-7 years experience in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work
• 5-7 experience writing application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field
