The Skills Map: A New Way to Look at Your Organization
What are Categories
The Categories app builds on the existing Career Paths feature to provide HR with the ability to define and administer custom categories, or Job Profiles, for employee career management or for internal skills assessment.
Categories can be created for job roles, functions etc, based either on existing user skills within the organization, or ideal skill sets devised by HR. Once set up, HR can either publish the Category as a Career Path for the employees to see, or keep hidden to use as an internal assessment tool for comparing an employee or group of employees against an ideal of set of skills for a given job role. Categories is perfect tool for organizations that need to quickly analyze the skills gaps of existing employees in a given job role or leadership function. It’s also a seamless way for creating comprehensive Career Paths for the entire organization.
