What are groups?

The Groups app allows sub groups of employees to be created within your SkillsMapper account. This is ideally suited to special interest groups or employee resource groups that want to be able to communicate and collaborate separately from the rest of the organization on key initiatives. Groups can be created as open groups that any member of the organization is free to join, or closed groups that are restricted to a limited number of approved members.

Groups encourage employees to collaborate with specific interest groups within the organization, rather than posting information that is visible to the whole organization. This helps to encourage more open communication within project groups, employee resource groups, and any other grouping of employees that helps to meet company objectives.

It also helps your employees to more quickly identify knowledge experts and influencers that they can turn to as mentors as they manage their careers within your organization.
