George is helping me discover hidden pitfalls that prevent me from differentiating value adding thinking, from mechanical-sequential thinking. He is not the guru that knows all the answers, but he rather works with you to find the right solutions. His commitment goes beyond the professional level; he develops a personal and genuine relationship.

Although George Kastner was my boss during my experience in Arthur D. Little I can truly say that he was a true coach. George was very demanding at all times but never more than what he demanded of himself, and maybe more importantly he never left any “wounded” behind. Although his nature is extremely competitive he loves and comprehends team spirit (despite frequently showing impatience when his role is as a "follower"). The times I witnessed him at his best was when leading a high performance team in a very challenging environment with the support of the members, and winning! During my times at Arthur D. Little we had a very tight team and together and under George´s leadership we led the management consulting marketplace and outperformed all the other top consulting firms in Venezuela and Colombia. I witnessed George being creative and constructive, asking the right questions and not scared of challenging anything in order to improve the status quo or to achieve the goal. He has the memory of a “whale” and can use it appropriately. He is constantly thinking about the big picture and can follow up on details that escape most individuals. Although he can be very tough when needed he is also very charismatic and understanding. Even though he has a very academic background he can seamlessly apply it in the “real” world. George is not an easy individual to work with but I believe George to be one of the smartest well rounded individuals I have had the pleasure to work with.
