Zapoint 4 Groups

Zapoint 4 Groups offers universities and alumni groups an innovative networking and communication tool, which enables users to access detailed and up to date information on other members of the group, including global mapping and resume profiles.

By integrating the alumni network with Zapoint's other career management and skills tracking tools, members have a much more compelling reason to ensure their details are kept current on the system, ensuring that Z4G adds true value to both the individual user and the alumni network as a whole.

Communications tools are closed within the group, ensuring that members are not exposed to spam emails or unsolicited contact. Zapoint 4 Groups members can keep their profile invisible to members outside their alumni group, or can opt to make their resumes public, to be visible to recruiters and take advantage of the full range of Zapoint services.

Zapoint 4 Groups enables alumni groups to manage their communications, with zmail (Zapoint's internal messaging service) and message walls, on which group members can post messages and upload documents/pictures.

Networking
  • »Search: search within your group by skills, industry, location, nationality. Z4G's advanced search helps you track down well-qualified contacts that can truly add value to your network.
  • »connections: Identify your peer group, so that you are kept up to date with any changes that your peers make to their profiles on you "Connections Radar".
  • »Mapping: See where in the world group members are located, using Google mapping technology. The interactive map gives members instant visualization of the diversity and location of group members, and enables them to access members' profiles directly from the map.
Communication
  • »Privacy: your profile is only visible to other members of the group, unless you opt to make your profile public. This means that you only receive communication relevant to you as a group member.
  • »Wall: Post messages which are visible to the whole group, enabling you to reach the widest audience possible. Upload files or pictures which you want to share with the group.
  • »Zmail: send messages to members of the group using Z4G's spam-free internal messaging service.
Skills mapping
  • »Skills comparison: Z4G enables you to view the profiles of other group members and compare your skills with theirs. This enables you to benchmark skills for job-searching and career management, and also helps you to identify mentors who can help you achieve your career goals.
  • »Group skills summaries: show the diversity of skills and experience within the group. Select the key metrics that you want to display, to give a snapshot of the group's attributes.
Job search
  • »Job opportunities: career services departments can post job opportunities, as well as using the search and communication tools to forward opportunities to targeted individuals. Members of the group can also post details of opportunities on the message wall.
  • »External job opportunities: members selecting to make their profiles public will also be searchable by recruiters using the site, maximizing members' exposure to career progression opportunities.
